FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – April 13, 2010 –  OES, widely acknowledged as the hottest Toronto band, announced today that Serge Page was stepping down as the band’s manager.

“This was a difficult decision for me,” Page said.  “I’ve been with the band from the very beginning, and it’s been an incredible ride to see OES turn into the hot musical commodity it’s become.  But it’s time for me to move on, and I know the band can continue to wow music fans by continuing not to crank out searingly hot performances.”

Page says that the sometimes difficult personal dynamics of the band did not influence his decision, as he is not only resigning as OES band manager, but leaving the music profession altogether.  “It’s time for me to move on,” Page said.  “I’m succeeded in musical management beyond my wildest expectations.  At first it was great, but when you’ve been number one for as long as I have, you start to look for new challenges.”  What will Page do after OES?  “I’m keeping my options open, but I really enjoyed my marketing work for the band, so I may pursue something in that realm.”

No OES band members were available for immediate comment following Page’s announcement, though the following tweet did appear on a Twitter account thought to belong to Knave “Tiny” Daylord: “you goin serge – wherez my check?”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – June 6, 2009 —  OES, widely acknowledged as the hottest Toronto band, announced today that they have issued a press release.

“This press release is just another milestone on our road to bigger and better things,” said band Manager Serge Page. “It is a testament to how far the band has come.”  Page went on to say that many fans would be surprised to hear that this is the second press release issued by OES, the first concerning their decision not to appear at the MMVA.

Page dismissed criticisms that today’s press release was lacking in substantive content, and was mind-bogglingly self-referential.  “Other bands issues press releases with ‘content’,” said Page.  “I understand and applaud their efforts to achieve legitimacy through such tactics, but OES is altogether too hot to engage in such shenanigans.  OES doesn’t make news, we are news.”

Rumours the band would be issuing a press release were very much not the buzz around Toronto in the past few days, and publication of the press release has not set off a new round of speculation concerning the next time the band could not be caught performing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – May 15, 2009 — The musical ensemble OES, widely acknowledged as the hottest Toronto band, announced today that they would not be attending the 2009 Much Music Video Awards on June 21 in Toronto.

“I’m very pleased to confirm we will not to be attending this year’s event,” said OES Manager Serge Page.  “The band has worked really hard at not releasing any music videos this year, and our absence at the MMVA will surely help solidify the reputation of OES as hot music video artists.  We appreciate the hard work and dedication of the artists to be honoured at the Awards, and appreciate that many bands have to work on their video reputations by ‘producing’ music videos.”

To date, only People’s Choice nominees have been announced, a list OES is obviously too hot to make.  The band and its fans feel confident that they will also successfully avoid being nominated for any of the main awards when they are announced later this month.  “Of course there’s always a chance that we could be nominated,” says Page, “but hopes are universally high throughout the band that this won’t be the case.”

Categories in which the band hopes not to appear include Best Video, Best Independent Video and MuchLOUD Best Rock Video.  Asked if a nomination might compel OES to reverse today’s decision, Page insisted they will not be attending the MMVA under any circumstances.  “We’re too hot for the MMVA,” said Page.
